Contradicting Concepts

Polo: Maldita Man | Deconstructed high school uniform skirt | Shoes: Cubao X | Bag: Vintage
What I wore to the ACTM Numina Paradoxia even this Friday at Eastwood. Read about it here. I wanted to go for another androgynous look to support my concept, but I'd wear an outfit like this any day, regardless of an occasion.

The polo has a calculator print on the breast pocket, in case you couldn't see clearly. There was another print with some sort of math equation, but since math and I have a hate-hate relationship, it was not going to happen. (On another note: me + math = a contradiction in itself.) Haha! Skirt is my old school uniform; I've wondered what would happen to me if I visited my alma matter wearing that, and...I'd prolly just get in trouble. Heh.

The camera ring is from Cubao X as well, and I do believe you've become acquainted with the rest of the rings on my fingers.

Updating Cheapskateers has been at snail's pace. October (hi sembreak!) will hopefully bring more posts, and perhaps another shoot with Maronne...? Fingers crossed!

Way Overdue

Title explains it all; this post is way overdue. This is an outfit I wore last weekend. I apologize; school has been a bitch black hole.
Hat, denim polo shirt, pearl necklace: borrowed | floral skorts: Bangkok | headband: Forever 21 | fringed boots: thrifted

Spent the entire Sunday filming a music video for Reese & Vica's single entitled "Copycats." I love these girls' music, you should check them out. Their songs remind me of castles and badass princesses and explosive bubbles and kittens and bunnies and all sorts of sugary, spicy and everything-nicey things.

I was asked to play a stalker.. Like, with a room decorated with photos of somebody else and all. I don't know how else to explain or expound on this, it's pretty straightforward, I think, and radical. I had so much fun being a weird little stalker girl. Ignore the fact that I sound like my IQ is below 40 right now. You have no idea what secret mastery over articulation and literacy I possess deep within the intricate hollows of my beeeeeiiiing *cough* anyway...

That's Vica, one half of Reese and Vica, and Noel, who plays the girl I'm stalking. Haha! Gorgeous people, aren't they? I'm so glad I'm constantly given the chance to work with such pretty, interesting and creative kids. :D

Prepping for the video shoot. Clothes and trinkets all over the bed. Also, hello Reese, Vica and Noel! Oh, and the people standing up are Jip, Dijo and Jussy. Jip was our cinematographer (have I got my filmmaking jargon right?) and Dijo and Jussy directed the video. :D

Gah, I'm sick and coughing like crazy, so I can't think properly enough to pull the seams of this entry together, hence the total lack of continuity. All I've left to say is that I can't wait for the video to be poted online! Watch out for it, please. <3 Thank you and good night! Here's to hoping you all are well and aren't sick like me. It's been making me too lazy to dress up.. I feel so bad about that fact. :( In any case, see you guys!

Little Girls and Their Little Lies

I hate Sundays.

Headband: DIY | Dress: Eastwood tiangge | Necklace: Gingersnaps | Rings: Everywhere | Shoes: Sugar Shoes
I hate Sundays because it's the last day of the weekend, and there's always school the next day. This is why I generally don't enjoy Sundays.

On to more relevant things! The dress was actually something my mom got for me, and I'm really glad she did. The dress is beautiful! I reminds me of old communion dresses, only in black.

It was a buy-one-take-one deal worth P350, I think? That would make it P175 per buy, and a find like this is quite the bargain for that kind of price!

Say hello to my backpack! I got it at the one and only Rockwell bazaar I ever attended with Maronne.

My necklace with milk carton pendants. There's strawberry milk (in a purple carton, wtf), chocolate milk and regular milk!

Another lil' something my mom made. I always wanted those garter-headbands that we used to wear as babies or children, so Mama made a whole bunch of them later on. I wore these a lot when the top layers of my hair were still shorter, but ever since reaching my very awkward growing out phase, I haven't been wearing them as much anymore. This is why you oftentimes see my hair curled; I HATE flyaway hair with a passion, so I either keep my hair up (getting sick of this option though), curl it (most preferred option), or sometimes straighten it with a flat iron. Very rarely do I pick the last choice though! Gah my hair growth is so sloooowwww.

Paired my dress with some bright Sugar Shoes! Don't be fooled though, I definitely didn't get them at their original price. I had been lusting over these since October 2009, and they were finally mine last summer. Remember that epic Rustan's sale at Shangri-la over the summer? Yup, that's where I got these. Original price was around P3,500, but I got them for only...

P800. HAHAHAHA Imagine my shock when I found out! They were actually one size too tight, but there were no more stocks and C'MON MAN. An epic price drop like that doesn't come by often, especially in Rustan's! The fit is better now after being a bit stretched out from being worn.

Other than one boot being slightly dirtier than the other, there's nothing wrong with it. A lot of the items on sale at the time were just suffering from smoke damage, but that's it. I guess that was why so many people were making a commotion in Rustan's. Thank God I got to these before anyone else did, hehehe.

...where did the photo of my rings go? What the heeelll I think I deleted it LOL fail. Oh well, next time!
